If you are looking for something a bit different Carnival Splendor sails along the Mexican Riviera, Pacific side. She departs weekly from Los Angeles on her 7-day itineraries and on August 26, 2012 she has rates on an inside cabin starting at only  $679 per person, double occupancy, plus tax and service.

If you are looking for a deal closer to home, the Conquest sails an Eastern Caribbean itinerary departing from New Orleans on November 4, 2012 and returning on November 11. You could do all of your Christmas shopping while on the cruise and then fit it all in your trunk for the ride home.
