Sunwing Commemorates Inaugural Flight from St. John’s to Montego Bay

Sunwing has officially taken off to Jamaica after operating its inaugural flight from St. John’s to Montego Bay earlier this month.

It’s the latest in a string of new routes to Jamaica that the operator has pioneered, making St. John’s the twelfth city that Sunwing now offers direct service to Montego Bay from. Further expansion is being planned for next winter.

The inaugural flight arrived to much fanfare, with Jamaican airport authorities greeting passengers with a traditional ‘water welcome’.

Weekly flights from St. John’s to Montego Bay will continue every Sunday until April 22, 2012 as part of Sunwing’s ‘bringing our plane to your door’ program, which serves communities across Canada with direct flights to sun-soaked destinations.
